Acer 10.1-inch Windows 7 Tablet Announced, to Debut in February 2011
Acer has focused on installing Android on the majority of their portable computing gadgets. And with that, the company has announced a series of new Android tablets which seemed as though they’re attempting to compete with the Apple iPad’s enormous dominance in the computing market. But after the announcement of the soon-to-be released Android tablets comes a new 10.1 inch Windows 7 tablet from Acer.
The complete hardware specs and features of the yet unnamed tablet aren’t fully disclosed yet. The farthest thing we know is that it packs a 10.1-inch screen which measures in at only 15mm thick and weighs in at just 2.2 pounds. We still don’t know what to expect regarding details of the tablet’s screen resolution, onboard memory, and memory storage, but there are leaks saying that the device will actually offer AMD silicon. Other goodies include a pair of rear and front facing camera at 1.3 megapixels and built-in Wi-Fi and 3G for connectivity.
The Acer 10.1-inch Windows 7 Tablet is expected to have its release date in February 2011. As of the moment, we don’t know how much the price will be of this tablet without a name. Meanwhile, let’s take a peek at some images of the Windows-based tablet PC below.
